The INTERCEPTOR COST Action organized its 1st Meeting in Antwerp, Belgium.

The first day was dedicated to the INTERCEPTOR Network with the Management Committee Meeting and Working Groups Sessions.

The second day was dedicated to the OPMDay (Oral Potentially Malignant Disorders Day) with renowned invited speakers:

Experts,students and patients from 30 countries gathered with the aim of preventing oral cancers by improving disease care management of mucosal pathologies at risk of transforming into cancer ( Oral Potentially Malignant Disorders,OPMD). The fundamental bases of carcinogenesis, innovative strategies for intercepting cancerization and risk biomarkers were discussed. OPMDay allowed patients to talk about their care journeys, highlighting the inequalities of care in the European Union. 

Thanks to the collaboration of researchers in various disciplines, caregivers from diverse backgrounds, INTERCEPTOR aims to develop preventive medicine precision for tomorrow.
